Welcome! I’m Laxmi Hegde, and I believe that travel is the most profound education one can receive. My journey from the classrooms of India to restaurants in the Middle East and adventures across the globe has taught me how to explore the world with intention, respect, and smart planning.
A Foundation Built on Discipline and Culture
My story begins in Mumbai, where I was born into a (Havyak) Brahmin family. The disciplined values of my upbringing—beginning each day with Mantra recitation (OM)—instilled in me a deep respect for tradition, structure, and the pursuit of knowledge. This foundation has been my compass throughout a life of constant exploration.
My academic path was driven by this same discipline. After completing my schooling in Matunga, Mumbai, I pursued an MBA in Finance and further achieved qualification in the National Eligibility Test (NET) for Lecturership. I channeled my passion for knowledge into a role as a lecturer in Bangalore, where I honed the skills of breaking down complex subjects into understandable, actionable lessons—a skill I now apply to travel planning.
A Global Citizen with a Strategist’s Mindset
My life took a significant turn when I moved to the United States. Living and working in cities like San Francisco, Dallas, and Houston expanded my perspective and sharpened my analytical skills in a new cultural context. A entrepreneurial spirit later led me to Bahrain, where we undertook the immense challenge of opening and running a restaurant. This experience provided an unparalleled, ground-level immersion into a new culture, its cuisine, and its people.
Throughout these transitions across three continents, one constant has remained: my passion for travel.
