Yoga and Confidence

Before we start discussing more thoroughly about how yoga can strengthen your self-confidence, let us first talk about just what exactly is yoga, and how it is performed. Yoga originated from ancient India, yoga is a belief that a man”s mind, body and spirit should work in harmony, but the monks didn’t introduce it to the West until the late 18th or 19th century. In Sanskrit, which is the ancient language of India, ‘yoga’ basically means ‘union’. This is due to the fact that yoga aims to unify the mind, spirit and body.

It was discovered 5,000 years ago. It was developed to show the appreciation for the body. Ancient yogis believed that the body should be treated well and respected because it is the main medium for man”s growth and work, yoga has six forms. These are breathing, meditation ,exercise devotion, self control and service.

Most people now a days are more interested in yoga as a form of exercise. Yoga offers a profound sense of physical and psychological well being. On the other hand, there is also another word derived from Sanskrit that perfectly describes yoga, which is ‘asana’. Asana is the execution of different physical poses or postures. Many are practicing yoga because it is proven to help calm the mind, reduce stress, relieve pain and lose weight (which most often translates to an increase in confidence.)

A lot of individuals who haven’t dabbled with yoga think that this discipline is just all about stretching. But yoga is about more than just stretching. Its about creating balance in body and mind, and joining the two together and bringing them into close communication.

Some who are not familiar with yoga think that it is an exercise composed of poses that are also impossible to do. In particular, the popular perception associate yoga with a system of bendy, twisty, physical movements and positions.

In other words yoga is a lot more than that. Yoga is more on creating a way to balance the body by enhancing your strength and flexibility, it is not only the body that gains benefits from this practice, but also the mind.

Oftentimes we find ourselves in a situation where we feel like we just don’t want to stand out from the crowd for fear of being ridiculed. We lack confidence because of it we lose many good opportunities in life. If you’re wondering on how yoga can greatly help you enhance and strengthen your self-confidence, here are some explanations

Recent scientific research into the effects of yoga on the body and mind have shown that these physical practices have enormous benefits for physical and psychological health. They can help you to lose weight, tone muscles, treat a number of medical problems, improve your flexibility and posture, keep your muscles relaxed and supple, regulate your appetite, etc. They also decrease the all too common psychological sufferings and mindfulness and boost your mood and brain power overall. Thanks to the breathing exercises of yoga, more oxygen can enter your muscles, thus providing your muscles with more vigor.

Yoga can help you understand more your mind as well as your body. With yoga, you will become more aware of your limitations, as well as your potentials.

Just the act of going to a yoga class can boost our self-confidence. It sends such a positive message to our hearts and minds that shows we care about ourselves. This alone can elevate our opinion of ourselves.

As we start to build our physical strength and work our way into more challenging poses, we feel stronger on the inside. And balancing yoga poses become easier the more we practice, showing us that we’re capable of changing and growing. Many are hesitant about practicing yoga not just because it appears to be painful and uncomfortable but also it involves a lot of poses.

  • Exhale and bend your knees, trying to take the thighs as nearly parallel to the floor as possible. The knees will project out over the feet, and the torso will lean slightly forward over the thighs until the front torso forms approximately a right angle with the tops of the thighs. Keep the inner thighs parallel to each other and press the heads of the thigh bones down toward the heels.
  • Firm your shoulder blades against the back. Take your tailbone down toward the floor and in toward your pubis to keep the lower back long.

Beginner”s Tip.

To help you stay in this pose, perform it near a wall. Stand with your back to the wall, a few inches away from the wall. Adjust your position relative to the wall so that when you bend into the position, your tailbone just touches and is supported by the wall.

Benefits.

Half Moon Pose (Ardha Chandrasana)

This pose can be challenging for a mind full of self-doubt. But on the flip side, it can quickly help to build self-confidence—and it can also be a lot of fun!

One leg is bent forward while the other is extended behind you. Your fingers touch the floor and your back and neck are arched upward.

The position of the body is mostly the same here. From equestrian pose, lift your hands from the floor and bring your palm together in front of your chest. Then stretch the arm high above your head and arch them backwards. Hold that position briefly, then again bring the fingers down to the floor in equestion pose before proceeding to the next pose.

yoga-597688_1280

Beginner”s Tip

Many beginning students have difficulty touching the floor with their lower hand, even when resting it on the fingertips. These students should support their hand on a block. Start with the block at its highest height and, if your balance is steady and comfortable, lower it down first to its middle height, then finally if possible to its lowest height

or

Keeping your front knee aligned, press your front foot down into the floor, and resist it to the right, as though you were trying to turn your front foot out, but can’t because it’s stuck to the floor.

Keep that, and press your back foot against the wall, and resist up, as though someone was trying to push your back thigh down and you were resisting against them (your foot and leg won’t actually move, you’re just resisting).

Maintaining this dual resistance (pressing down and resisting out with the front foot, and pressing back into the wall and resisting up with the back foot), you might even find that you’re so stable that you can not only extend your top arm up, but you might even be able to lift your bottom hand away from the block!

Just about anyone can sing, all you need is a voice. If you can talk, you can sing, regardless of how well you do it. Most children sing, therefore the physical capability is there. Children don’t worry about how they sound, they just enjoy it. By the time we become adults, many of us are conditioned to be overly critical, and even ashamed of our voices. Many people even fear singing. Why can’t adults be more like children?

img_0010

We are all born with very high self-confidence, but often it is gradually eroded by emotional trauma of varying degrees. People grow up and get the shine knocked out of them. Have you noticed that most children seem to bounce into this world with a really hefty amount of self-esteem? Really. If you”ve ever chatted to a kid about their crappy crayon drawing or pasta art, you”ll immediately see that there”s no pretend humility, no self effacement. Just pride and confidence. Ask them what they want to be and they”ll tell you “a unicorn trainer”.

Mastering a musical instrument will foster a persons sense of pride, confidence and self-worth. The benefits of music don’t just stay in the music classroom Even if the person experiences a rough start to this musical journey, each new skill he/she acquires or musical piece he/she plays well will be rewarding. As a person learns to read and play music on her/his instrument, not only will she/he be increasing her/his knowledge base and competence level in music, but her/his competence may improve, her/his problem-solving skills will be strengthened and her/his ability to stay on task will improve, With this may come a new sense of purpose that banishes boredom, doubt, negative personal thoughts and feelings of aimlessness. Self Efficacy and Confidence

Self efficacy is the strength of your beliefs in your ability to complete tasks successfully.

“It should be noted that the construct of self-efficacy differs from the colloquial term “confidence.” Confidence is a nondescript term that refers to strength of belief but does not necessarily specify what the certainty is about.

woman-1521111_1280

Whether you will persist or give up while working on a specific task – How long you will stick to uncomfortable changes designed to bring long term results (quit smoking, weight loss, positive thinking mindset) I can be supremely confident that I will fail at an endeavor. Perceived self-efficacy refers to belief in one’s capabilities, that one can produce given levels of attainment.
What goals you”ll set for yourself and where “extremely difficult” ends and impossible starts. A self -efficacy assessment, therefore, includes both an affirmation of a capability level and the strength of that belief.

The beliefs you have about your abilities shape your entire life. They effect how you think, feel and behave. Self-efficacy refers to subject’s behaviors (i.e.: it’s the subject’s judgment about his own ability to follow a needed or desired course of action); self-confidence has a lesser precise definition, implying a person’s trust on a wider range of own resources or strengths.

If you have little self-efficacy, you will have a tendency to write off things you consider impossible. Self-confidence lead to self-efficacy, or we can say there is a direct correlation between the two factors. On the other hand, self-efficacy is related to other factors too, such as: the difficulty of the task, the subject’s abilities and so on.

If you don”t believe you are able to achieve your dreams you will live a medicare life instead of realizing your full potential. When the word self-efficacy is heard, it is often understood as self-confidence by many people. Self-confidence is not the same as self- efficacy. Its important to note that self-efficacy is task related you can have high self-efficacy in a particular task and low self efficacy when working in another task.

img_0054

Self-confidence is defined as a trust or assertion in oneself, believing in one’s aptitude, making a choice which maybe referring to a general context or to a specific event or doings. Some people recognize self-confidence as self-assurance.

Self efficacy develops during childhood. The right parent/teacher/family can help to develop a powerful belief in their abilities that will empower them in their adult life.

self-efficacy can be defined as the capability to attain the required outcome. Speaking of perceived self-efficacy generally means that the person has a lot of faith in his or her aptitude that the wanted outcome can be achieved.

Those with self-efficacy tends to have higher level of desire, higher obligation and are also able to restore themselves after facing with failure better than those with poorer height of self-efficacy

Self efficacy                                            v/s                             low self efficacy

Consider challenges as something they can over come Avoid challenges (consequently they rarely grow)
Obstacles don”t make them lose confidence in their abilities. Difficult goals are beyond their capabilities and thus they don”t achieve big goals.
Take responsibility for their failure and believe they control the outcome (not believe in getting lucky) Quickly lose confidence in their abilities and give up on their goals.
Put more effort to complete the task Have narrow view (no big picture)
They set goals and develop deeper understanding of it They don”t believe in their abilities but on external factors like luck.

People with higher levels of self-efficacy tends to view heavy responsibilities as challenge to be tackled other than viewing it as danger or risk that has to be stayed away from at all times. If you don”t believe in your abilities you are not likely to set big goals that have the highest chance of making a dramatic improvement in your life.

Self hypnosis for confidence/weight loss/Anxiety/Quit smoking

Before we get to understand how to hypnotize yourself to derive all the benefits, it is perhaps important that we learn the basic just to help us build a solid foundation. The word hypnosis comes from the Greek word “hypos” which means sleep. It is an abbreviation of the term neuro-hypnotism which means sleep of the nervous system. This blog contains proven steps on how to perform self hypnosis, for beginners, Amazing ways to change your mind, change your life and feel great now.hypnosis-75615_1280

Hypnosis is not exactly a new concept. You are probably not aware of this, but hypnosis has been used since the ancient times to cure people suffering from any mental or physical illness. Self hypnosis is an extremely liberating practice, because it allows you to tap into both the conscious and subconscious areas of your mind and free yourself from almost any barriers imaginable.

Have you ever seen old horror films and television programs that portray hypnosis as a frightening instrument of mind control where unscrupulous villains enslave the will of helpless victims? Many people are scared of hypnosis because of so many scary things that they have heard about hypnosis. Perhaps you have seen stage shows where a hypnotist seems to be able to use their “hypnotic powers” to make people do and say things that they would never do or say under normal conditions. These popular misconceptions have caused fear and apprehension in people”s minds that they would rather avoid the practice regardless of the benefits it holds for them.

If so, it is not surprising that hypnosis may seem just a little bit wacky, not unlike other seemingly mystical and unexplained phenomena. The movie industry and the media have been largely responsible for these misrepresentations. This is unfortunate because hypnosis is, in fact, a serious therapeutic tool that can help people overcome many psychological, emotional and even some physical problems. This is pure fiction and very far from what hypnosis is about, how it is conducted and what it is used for.

People have been entering into hypnotic type trances for several years- we are talking about thousand and thousands of years ago. Hypnosis efficiently calms and puts the mind at a tranquil state. The state of hypnosis can best be described as a state of highly focused attention with heightened suggestibility. In its simplest term, hypnosis is a trans state, which is usually characterized by extreme relaxation, suggestibility, and heightened imagination, which is far different from sleep, Unconsciousness or mind-control because you are actually alert Aware, in control, in a natural and harmless state and able to come out of hypnosis when you wish to.

Hypnosis is done with complete focus and concentration on certain matters. Self-hypnosis is often used to modify behavior, emotions and attitudes. Self-hypnosis is a process of an individual causing hypnotic induction without any assistance. When it comes to self hypnosis, you need to know that it is just like ordinary hypnosis but there is no hypnotizer who hypnotizes you in his premises.

Self Hypnosis is the perfect framework, in which we can trigger change, motivation, and a shift in mindset. For instance, many people use self-hypnosis to help deal with the problems of everyday living. Self-hypnosis can boost confidence and even help people develop new skills. It is something close to daydreaming or a state in which you feel as if you are losing yourself in a movie or book while you are fully conscious but out of tune to much of the external stimuli around you except the subject at hand. A great stress and anxiety reliever, it can also be used to help overcome habits such as smoking and overeating/weight loss.

When you are in this state, you sort of have no other thought going on in your mind. It mostly uses imaginary objects-for instance, your focus spot and repetition (Suggestions). You will be guided into a highly relaxed state. You will not be asleep and you will be aware of what is happening throughout. Once you are in this state, your hypnotherapist (or yourself) will communicate with your unconscious, using questions and positive suggestive statements to challenge your limiting beliefs.

The statements used will depend on your personal circumstances and will relate to any particular confidence issues you feel you have. The premise behind hypnotherapy is that when your unconscious believes you are confident, this translates to your conscious. This therefore changes your thought patterns and actions to improve your confidence. The benefits of self hypnosis are that you can achieve control over your pain and stress without the help of trained specialists. In other words, with hypnosis, you can use your mind to achieve feats that you would n”t be able to tap into the mind”s limitless power to unleash more potential from you.

Who among us is not influenced by, suggestion? Aren”t we all as we have seen, influenced by the suggestion? Of advertisement? Don”t we all have tendency to believe what we read in the paper, hear on the radio or see on television ? Aren”t we all convinced that a name brand article is better than one that is not so well known.

Over the last decade we have found that one of the most common uses for self hypnosis is confidence building, Self-confidence isn’t there just to make you feel good. We need self-confidence to drive our aspirations to make them real; it’s as much a vehicle as a destination in itself. What’s more, when you are self-confident others feel it and can’t help but respond. Confidence is a state of mind. When we feel confident, we accept ourselves and believe in our abilities. When we don’t feel confident, we can become stressed, anxious, unfulfilled and ultimately unhappy.

Self-confidence gives you the freedom to make mistakes and cope with failure without feeling that your world has come to an end or that you are a worthless person. Self -hypnosis or hypnotherapy can be a successful way of reducing stress and opening the mind to new ideas to thought processes, especially when dealing with problem behavior such as certain addictions and self confidence. We hear a lot about having the confidence to be successful, but it takes self-confidence to fail and manage that failure in ways that don’t damage your self-esteem.

This is important: Self-confidence doesn’t consist of knowing for sure something will go well. It has more to do with relaxing with the certainty that you can handle uncertainty, even if that means some kind of failure. Hypnotherapy is essentially a way of reprogramming how we think. Real self-confidence imbues you with an overriding sense of “whatever happens, I’ll be okay!” It’s bigger than both success and failure.

Have you ever met someone who despite constant reassurance and approval, lacks confidence in their abilities? There are many self-hypnosis resources available for people who lacks confidence. Or perhaps you know someone who thinks they are fantastic at what they do, despite other people telling them otherwise? This happens because of their confidence in their abilities.

The essence of self-confidence is having faith not only in your own abilities but also in your own potential. There exists a lot of skepticism and suspicion around the subject of hypnotism, especially in Western cultures. This skepticism stems partly from hypnosis being used as a form of entertainment and also from some of the original theories on the subject.  So if a person lacks confidence his/her mind set can be changed with self hypnosis . This happens because our unconscious holds a set of beliefs about us that stay the same, regardless of external factors. So a singer who believes deep in their unconscious that they have a terrible voice, will likely avoid performing, even if people tell them they have a great voice.

Self-confident people are adventurous experimenters who keep an open mind and don’t assume that something will go badly – or even well. They simply enjoy making a start and finding out later. The more you try in life, the more you build self-confidence through discovering how to manage lots of different situations. Furthermore, hypnosis and hypnotherapy can be used to help boost self-esteem and personal confidence as well as to overcome related problems, such as a fear of public speaking.

Hypnotherapy accesses the unconscious mind and uses the power of suggestion to facilitate positive change. The human mind can be split into three distinct areas of consciousness; the conscious, subconscious and unconscious.  It can be useful to think of each part of the mind on a scale of depth.  The subconscious mind is below consciousness most of the time, a deeper level – it is therefore not so easily accessible and controls how we may feel or react to certain situations or circumstances, based on what we have learn t through experience, in the past.    It also controls and regulates our essential bodily functions, such as breathing.

The unconscious mind is the deepest part of our mind and is much more difficult to reach – it can include suppressed memories of traumatic events.

Hypnotism works by reaching a relaxed state whereby it is possible to sink deeper into our minds and rewrite or reprogram our subconscious.

Through physical and mental relaxation, self-hypnosis can allow people to bypass their conscious minds and introduce positive thoughts and ideas into their unconscious.  Upon ‘awakening’ from the hypnotic state the new thoughts and ideas in the subconscious will, eventually, affect the conscious mind and can, in turn, lead to changed behaviors.

Hypnotherapy does not claim to be a ‘quick fix’, such methods require perseverance and practice in order for the subconscious mind to pick up and apply the new messages.

These suggestions can be tailored to help improve confidence levels. Generally these suggestions will be positive and made in the present tense. For example the phrase “you feel confident in everything you do” would be used rather than “you no longer doubt yourself”. The theory behind this is that the unconscious can’t differentiate between “you have” and “you no longer have”.

Hypnotherapy has the power to tap into your unconscious to bring out traits you already have. the conscious mind is the top or shallowest part of the mind and is responsible for making sense of the things we are directly aware of – like stress levels. It cannot add personality traits or change your personality. Everyone is born with confidence; it is the false beliefs that for one reason or another end up in our unconscious that deplete our confidence. By unlearning this, our confidence levels return to how they would be naturally.

While self-confidence and self-esteem are usually linked, they are not the same thing. When we talk about self-confidence we are referring to the way we feel about our ability to carry out tasks and roles. Self-esteem refers to the way we feel about ourselves – the way we look, behave and think.

Those with low self-esteem generally have low self-confidence too. Having said this, people with low self-esteem can have confidence in certain areas and those with high self-esteem may lack confidence in certain areas.

Having confidence in your abilities does not mean performing tasks perfectly. In fact, a big part of having self-confidence is knowing how to deal with mistakes when they occur.

Over the last decade we have found that one of the most common uses for self hypnosis is confidence building, so we thought that it would be a good idea to explain just how you might build self confidence using hypnosis.

As our starting point, let’s take a look at how you build self confidence in the real world. How do you get to the point where doing something scary just isn’t scary any more?

Well basically, you do it and do it until it just isn’t scary any more! Hardly a deeply insightful answer, but true. Think of anything you have mastered that was difficult at first, and you’ll see that’s what happened.

Fear, or lack of confidence, is all about uncertainty, and once you have done something enough for the uncertainty to mostly disappear, the fear disappears too.

People who lack confidence, misuse self-hypnosis without even knowing they’re doing it. So many people waste time imagining how awful they’ll feel ‘when’ things go wrong. They worry about how they’ll cope with humiliation, defeat, failure, insult or being thought of as weird or ‘a loser’. No wonder they fear to even try. They have a negative mind set.

This is a destructive, uncontrolled form of self-hypnosis. Misusing the imagination to rehearse feeling bad about yourself is a fast-track route to self-doubt. Get into the habit of doing the opposite.(positive thinking).

Think about when you want to feel confident specifically. Close your eyes and rehearse feeling and acting boldly with decisiveness and focus. When we stop worrying about what might go wrong, we can start focusing on what might go right; and when we do that, things are more likely to go well for us.(positive mindset).

Self-Hypnosis

In order for self-hypnosis or prescribed hypnotherapy to work successfully it is important to approach the process with an open mind.

vibrant-757820_1280

WANT to be hypnotised : To be hypnotized either by yourself or by another individual you need to be motivated. If you believe in it, then it will happen. If you fail to believe, the the results will be unknown.

Not be overly sceptical : If you have no desire to be hypnotized , then it will not be effective . It is similar to religion: If you believe that God exists, you do not need proof of his existence as you have faith.

Relaxation : The subject who wishes to be hypnotized must be relaxed. Relaxation and the clearing of the mind are crucial for a successful hypnosis.

Concentration : You need to be able to concentrate. You need to remove everything out of your head, except for the thoughts associated with your goal and objective.

Direction : You also need to think about why you are going to use self-hypnosis and what messages you want to give yourself – what ideas you wish to plant into your subconscious.  Work on some short statements that you are going to use when you reach a hypnotic state. The hypnotic suggestion should be adjusted to the goal of the person and it should be phrased in most effective way to have the best possible influence on the subconscious mind.

Return to reality : You should eventually return from the state of hypnosis to everyday reality. For this purpose count from 5 to 1 and when you reach one say: “Awake” or “Wide Awake”.

Hypnosis statement :Your hypnosis statement should be

  • Genuine and honest
  • Positive
  • Simple

Get into comfortable clothing. It’s pretty hard entering any kind of deep, relaxed state when all you can think about is the waistband of your jeans cutting off your circulation. So take this as an excuse to throw on some sweats. You want absolutely nothing distracting you.

To start the process you need to feel physically relaxed and comfortable.  Try using a basic relaxation technique .

Go to a quiet room and sit in any comfortable chair, couch, or bed. Although some people prefer to lie down, you are more susceptible to sleep than when sitting up. Whether you sit or lie, ensure that you do not cross your legs or any part of your body. You may be in this position for a while and this could end up being uncomfortable.. The place that you have chosen for your self hypnosis should have no distraction or the possibility of distractions.

No self-hypnosis is effective if it gets interrupted by a phone call, a pet, or a kid. Turn off your phone (and the alerts), lock the door, and sequester yourself. This is your time.

  • The amount of time you want to dedicate to this is up to you. Most prefer to be in a trance (we try to avoid that phrase as it has certain…err…negative connotations) for about 15 or 20 minutes, but you have to a lot of time to get in and out of it, too.

Figure out your hypnosis goals. Are you doing it just to relax? For self-improvement? To train your brain? If you’re doing it to achieve a greater end (weight loss, quitting smoking, anxiety etc.), prepare a list of affirmations. As I have said before your statement should be Genuine and Honest, positive, simple. Self-hypnosis can be used just for relaxation, sure, but it can be for a number of life-enhancing things, too. Many use it to achieve their goals, change their thinking, or just as general positive reinforcement or motivation.

Entering Hypnosis.

  • Find an object that you can focus your vision and attention on – ideally this object will involve you looking slightly upwards on the wall or ceiling in front of you.(a pendulum or a dot on a white paper) Focus on a specific point of object.

  • Clear your mind of all thoughts and just focus on your object.  This is obviously quite hard to achieve but take your time to let thoughts leave you.

  • Become aware of your eyes, think about your eyelids becoming heavy and slowly closing.  Focus on your breathing as your eyes close, breathe deeply and evenly and relax. Focus on the point, concentrating on your eyelids. Repeat to yourself that they’re getting heavier and heavier and let them close when you cannot keep them open anymore.

  • Tell yourself that you will relax more every time you breathe out.  Slow your breathing and let yourself relax deeper and deeper with every breath. Recognize the tension in your body. Beginning with your toes, imagine the tension slowly falling away from your body and vanishing. Imagine it freeing each body part one at a time starting with your toes and working its way up your body. Visualize each part of your body becoming lighter and lighter as the tension is removed. Relax your toes, then your feet. Continue with your calves, thighs, hips, stomach and so on, until you’ve relaxed each portion, including your face and head.

  • Use your mind’s eye to visualize a gentle up and down or sideways movement of an object.  Perhaps the hand of a metronome or a pendulum – anything that has a regular, slow and steady swing.  Watch the item sway backwards and forwards or up and down in your mind’s eye. (or the dot )

  • Softly, slowly and monotonously count down from ten in your head, saying I am relaxing after each number.  ’10 I am relaxing’…  ‘9 I am relaxing’ etc. . Feel every part of the body as relaxing.

  • Believe and remind yourself that when you finish counting down you will have reached your hypnotic state.

  • When you have reached your hypnotic state it is time to focus on the personal statements that you prepared.  Focus on each statement – visualize it in your mind’s eye, repeat it in your thoughts.  Stay relaxed and focused. Repeat your short statements.

  • Relax and clear your mind once more before bringing yourself out of your hypnotic state.

  • Slowly but increasingly energetically count up to 10.  Reverse the process you used before when you counted down into your hypnotic state.  Use some positive message between each number, as you count.  ‘1, when I awake I will feel like I have had a full night’s sleep’ … etc.

  • When you reach 10 you will feel fully awake and revived!  Slowly let your conscious mind catch up with the events of the day and continue feeling refreshed.

How to meditate on chakras and build confidence

Chakras are energy centers connected with certain parts of the body, and a process of connecting to our own inner strength. According to Hindu belief, chakras are vast pools of energy in our bodies which govern our psychological qualities.

20160914_203457_001

In this blog I”ll be focusing on the hindu system of seven chakras. Although their might be known by other names in other cultures like Buddhist Vajrayana to Chinese Taoism, Western escotericism, and even the Kabbalah. There are said to be seven main chakras in all; four in our upper body, which govern our mental properties, and three in the lower body, which govern our instinctual properties. There are seven main energy centers, or chakras, that run vertically up your spine and have the ability to empower you. Take a look at each one and how it can help boost self-reliance and confidence in your abilities.

chakras-310119_640

The colors of the chakras are the exact same colors and in the same order as the colors of a rainbow, from red at the base to violet / white light at the crown Our bodies are walking rainbows! If you hold a crystal up to sunlight it displays beautiful vibrant rainbows that can give you an idea of what a healthy, happy chakra system looks like. Although there is generally a predominant color associated with each chakra, These seven chakras are subjected to imbalances, and can cause disturbances in our physical, emotional, and spiritual level of life.

chakra-659123_640

Different emotions are registered in different places of the body. Falling in love for example is a warm sensation in the chest. For instance, the root chakra relates to our sense of connection with our fellow human beings, as well as survival issues. If a person believes they are unsafe and trust is difficult, this chakra will tend to be pulled in and not joined in harmony with the other chakras. This will affect the organs in the area of the root chakra, such as the sex organs. Each chakra is represented by a lotus flower with a certain number of petals. Which are characterized as the spokes of a wheel (Chakra). Our instincts would join forces with our feelings and thinking. Some of our chakras are usually not open all the way (meaning, they operate just like when you were born), but some are over-active, or even near closed. If the chakras are not balanced, peace with the self cannot be achieved.

6851897590_d6ba30eb74_q

The Chakras are arranged vertically, from the base of the spine to the crown of the head.

The Crown Chakra, (Sahaswara) : which is the 7th Chakra, is at the very top of the head. Complete connection to the higher self. It appears with the color violet and pure white Light. When the crown and third eye are clear, there is no self-hate. It is linked to our awareness of Oneness with Source, integration of the Whole, living in the now, meaning, devotion, inspiration, and conscious alignment with Pure Awareness. . You may feel as though a force outside yourself is guiding you. From this, you begin to understand that, on a universal level, even imperfections are perfect.

symbol-898321_1280

The seventh chakra, Sahaswara, is referred to as the thousand-petal lotus chakra and its pinnacle of the chakra system. This is the top chakra of the seven and located at the crown of the head. Sahaswara is our source of enlightenment and spiritual connection to all that is. It is said to be located either at the crown of the head or the space above it, depending on which tradition you consult. It is a connection to our higher selves, to every being on the planet, and ultimately the divine energy that creates everything in the universe.

As the name suggests, this chakra is represented by a lotus of one thousand-petal. The petals of many colors. True opening of Sahaswara means the realization that you are pure awareness. The crown chakra is the ultimate white light, which refracts as though a prism, into every color of the visible spectrum. You are pure consciousness, undivided, and all expansive. Like a drop in the ocean, you are a part of that ocean that contains and encompasses every aspect of it. There is no element connected with this chakra, nor a seed syllable. The lotus flower is a symbol in both the Hindu and Buddhist traditions. It is nurtured, grows, and emerges in muddy waters. Everything we say about it is mere metaphor, word and image – a finger pointing to the moon, but not the moon itself, sahasrara is the ultimate light of pure nondual awareness.

The following is a list of asanas useful for working with a blocked The Crown Chakra, (Sahaswara)

While silence is the most powerful and important way to opening the seventh chakra, there are some other practices that support this chakra. Inverted yoga asanas such as headstand (Salamba Sirsasana) and down dog (Adho Mukha Svanasana) can help stimulate the seventh chakra, as well as any posture that brings the crown of the head to the floor such as fish pose (Matsyasana).

Crystal and Gemstones for The Crown Chakra,

The color for the crown chakra is violet or white . Gems you can wear or have in your environment to help open and align the seventh chakra are amethyst, selenite, and sugilite, White Calcite, White Topaz.

How to Meditate to open /balance The Crown Chakra,

  •  Sit cross-legged.

  • All this time, your body should now be totally relaxed, and your mind should be at peace. However, do not stop concentrating on the Crown Chakra.
  • This meditation is the longest, and should take no less than ten minutes.
  • WARNING: don’t use this meditation for the Crown Chakra if your Root Chakra is not strong or open. Before dealing with this last chakra, you need a strong “foundation” first, which the Root exercises will present to you.

The Brow Chakra, or Third Eye, (Ajna) : which is the 6th Chakra, is in the center of the forehead. eye inside It resonates with the color indigo and is linked to inner vision, unity perspective, divine understanding, discernment, wisdom, intuition, and intelligence. This chakra sees beyond sight, giving you a clearer view than your physical eyes ever could. When you follow your third eye and learn the difference between your intuition and your mind, your confidence will surely surely increase.

blue-1340076_1280The Brow Chakra also called the third eye is the center of perception and command. The sixth chakra, called Ajna is located superficially in the middle of the forehead, between and above the eyebrows. It directs our sight and everyday awareness of the world. Internally, it is located at the pineal gland. Our consciousness is located here. “We” are here. It is often called the “third eye” because of its relation to seeing-not physical sight, but the insight of intuition. We relate to ourselves through this chakra.

Ajna is represented by a two-petaled lotus of a deep indigo color. It is associated with mind element and its seed syallable is OM the primordial sound. We see ourselves and the external world, interpret what we see and are aware of ourselves and the world through the brow chakra. When the ajna chakra is imbalanced, it can lead to day dreaming, getting lost in a world of make believe and even delusions and hallucinations. The brow chakra interprets the world – our inner world, and the world that comes into the body, primarily through sight. When the brow chakra is out of balance, the whole organism suffers. Without perspective, nothing makes sense.

The following is a list of asanas useful for working with a blocked The Brow Chakra, or Third Eye, (Ajna) :

  • Shavasana

  • Advasana

  • Tadasana

  • Ashva Sanchalnasana

  • Bhujangasana

Crystal and Gemstones for The Brow Chakra, or Third Eye, (Ajna) :

The dark blue/purple crystals of indigo are used to treat imbalances of the brow chakra. This is the color of an empty sky, of solitude and reflection. It is a quiet color, one of mystery and wisdom and judgment. Indigo crystals should be held during any meditation aimed at assuring the free flow of energy within the brow chakra. Quiet reflection with a small indigo crystal placed on the forehead will help focus the wisdom of the indigo ray on the brow chakra releasing any blockages. Some other stones which can be used are Lapis Lazuli, Azurite, Sugilite.

How to Meditate to open /balance The Brow Chakra, or Third Eye, (Ajna) :

  • Sit in a comfortable position and concentrate on ajna chakra

  • Silently, but clearly, chant the sound “OM” or “AUM.”
  • All this time, relaxation of the body should come a bit naturally, and continue to think of the chakra, it’s meaning, and how it does or should affect your life.
  • Keep doing this until the same “clean” feeling seems to come back or intensify.

The Throat Chakra (Vishuddha) is the 5th Chakra, at the base of the throat, and is blue in color. The name of this chakra Vishuddha or Vishuddhi, means “very pure”. In the area of the throat, it governs the anatomical regions of the thyroid, parathyroid, jaw, neck, mouth, tongue, and larynx. The fifth chakra, Vishuddha, is the first of the three spiritual chakras. Communication: a tricky thing It is linked to expressing and being our truth, taking responsibility for our own needs, surrendering our will to the Divine, trusting Source, decision making, personal authority, and manifesting creative impulses.

light-blue-1340078_1280

It has to do with the power of speech, understood broadly here to mean the ability to communicate through any linguistic or symbolic means. You may feel as though you’ve communicated your needs and feelings very clearly while the other party involved may not have any concept of your words. That includes not just speaking and writing, but also the arts, which are symbolic forms of self expression. The throat chakra helps you to communicate your desires in a way that will be not only heard but also understood.

The throat chakra is represented by a light blue lotus with sixteen petal. To be open and aligned in the fifth chakra is to speak, listen, and express yourself from a higher form of communication. The element connected with the throat chakra is space, and the seed syllable of this chakra is the syllable of the space element “HAM”. Faith and understanding combine the essence of the Vishuddha chakra. The element corresponding to the fifth chakra is ether or space, and the sense is hearing.

Ordinarily, when we speak, we do so somewhat thoughtlessly. Authentic expression is not something that comes easily. Sometimes we use speech in a manipulative way-to deceive others, or to sow discord. There’s a delicate dance between saying what you mean and staying tactful or diplomatic or we use words as weapons, to abuse and hurt. We may speak carelessly, not considering the impact our words might have on others. Often it’s easier to say what the other person may want to hear instead of speaking your truth. Thus vicious rumors can begin, simply because we wanted to entertain ourselves with conversation. Fear of not being accepted, or judgment from the other may hinder your truthful verbal expression.

Opening the third chakra helps you to feel your personal power and have the confidence to express yourself. Knowing what’s in your heart comes when you align the fourth chakra. When vishuddha is balanced, your speech comes naturally and easily. Then, when it comes to verbalizing your needs, desires, and opinions you’re better able to determine how to be truthful to yourself and others. It has an easy-flowing, pleasant and persuasive quality. This chakra is based on self-expression and communication. When the chakra is open, expressing yourself is easy,

The following is a list of asanas useful for working with a blocked The Throat Chakra (Vishuddha): or balance it: In your yoga practice, you can do camel pose (Ustrasana), bridge pose (Setu Bandha Sarvangasana), shoulder stand (Salamba Sarvangasana), and plow (Halasana). These poses will stimulate the thyroid and parathyroid glands as well as bring energy to the area of the throat.

Crystal and Gemstones for The Throat Chakra (Vishuddha):

The color corresponding to the fifth chakra is blue, and gems to balance this chakra are sapphire, blue topaz, lapis lazuli, aquamarine, turquoise., Sodalite, Blue Calcite, Blue Kyanite, Angelite, Blue Turquoise.

How to Meditate to open /balance The Throat Chakra (Vishuddha):

  • Concentrate on the Throat Chakra and what it stands for, at the base of the throat.
  • Silently, but clearly, chant the sound “HAM.”
  • All this time, keep on relaxing your body, thinking of the chakra, it’s meaning, and how it does or should affect your life.
  • Keep doing this for about five minutes, and the “clean” feeling will intensify once again.

The Heart Chakra, (Anahata): which is the 4th Chakra, is in the center of the chest. Although it is located close to the heart, it is actually in the center of the chest. The fourth chakra is at the center of the seven chakras with three below and three above. This is the area where physical and spiritual meet. There is a separate chakra located slightly below and to the left of anahata called hrit literally “heart” But as this is not considered a major chakra in the system we”re presenting we will carry on with the convention of calling anahata the heart.

green-1340075_1280

Love and confidence are intertwined more than you might realize .It displays the colors green and pink. When your heart chakra is open, you are flowing with love and compassion, you are quick to forgive, and you accept others and yourself. A closed heart chakra can give way to grief, anger, jealousy, fear of betrayal, and hatred toward yourself and others. If you love and have found peace through your higher self, the thoughts and words of others have much less (if any) impact on your personal confidence scale.

some people choose to live in the place of grievances. They’ve been hurt in the past by parents, siblings, classmates, or loves. Maybe you’ve been there too. It’s impossible to avoid situations where someone may try to hurt you. But you get to choose what to do with that hurt. Some people might try to hurt the other person back. Yet, that is not living from a place of Anahata. The person who inflicts pain on others is coming from a place of fear, ignorance or hatred, all of which represent a closed heart chakra. It is linked to love (as a union of spiritual and human love), compassion, confidence, trust, expansion, acceptance, openness and inspiration. You love yourself, not the roles you play.

The following is a list of asanas useful for working with a blocked The Heart Chakra, (Anahata): or balance it:

  • Bhujangasana
  • Dhanurasana.

Crystal and Gemstones for The Heart Chakra, (Anahata)

  • Pink/Rubellite Tourmaline
  • Watermelon Tourmaline

  • All this time, continue to relax your body, and think of the chakra, it’s meaning, and how it does or should affect your life.
  • Keep doing this until you are completely relaxed, and the “clean” feeling returns and/or intensifies within your body.

The Solar Plexus (Manipura) : which is the 3rd Chakra, goes from just below the heart down to the navel. Manipura means “City of Jewels”. A balanced solar plexus can provide the power you desire to accomplish anything . Its element is fire. Physically, it is connected to the metabolism and the “fire” of digestion, which transforms food , extracting its nutrients and processing the waste. Yellow in color, it is linked to our self-esteem, reaction to criticism, personal power, and ego . It is the center of will power, the third chakra is all about the perception of who you are. Those with a “strong sense of will,” get it from the solar plexus. When you know your destiny, and no one can deter you, that is confidence. The gift of this chakra is sensing your personal power, being confident, responsible, and reliable.

mandala-1340066_1280

The naval chakra is represented as yellow ten-petaled lotus. Its syllable is “ RAM” the seed syllable of fire element. Its function is transforming, burning, purposeful. The energy of this chakra allows you to transform inertia into action and movement. It allows you to meet challenges and mover forward in your life

In Indian traditional medicine digestion is likened to the burning of fire, which transforms fuel into heat and light and leaves ashes behind. The main challenge for the third chakra is to use your personal power in a balanced manner. Strong third chakra reflects the ability to move forward in life with confidence and power. It reflects the ability to make conscious choices to choose and to act.

When it is out of balance, it can manifest physically as poor digestion. The message of the third chakra is: You have the power to choose. You can choose to achieve your life purpose or you can live out your karma or past experiences. What do you choose? Do you choose love, light and healing? Do you accept that you have the power to choose? Do you feel a sense of freedom when you make a choice? The third chakra is the center of your self-esteem.

  • Golden Calcite

How to Meditate to open /balance Solar Plexus (Manipura)

  • Sit in a comfortable position
  • Silently, yet clearly, chant the sound RAM.
  • All this time, let yourself relax even more, continuing to think about the chakra, it’s meaning, and how it does or should affect your life.
  • Keep doing this until you are completely relaxed. You should have a “clean” feeling (for every chakra).

The Sacral Chakra, ( Svdhisthana): which is the 2nd Chakra, is located just below the navel. It is connected to the reproductive system and sexuality. Sexuality is very intimate, even private= hence the name, which suggest a highly personal situation. The negative outcomes of a blocked sacral chakra can be challenging Resonating with the color orange, it is linked to our inner child, creativity, innocence, vulnerability and spontaneity Because it is related to sexuality, it is also related to the creativity and passionate energy of the libido. Problem solving can seem impossible when this chakra needs work. That can be very harmful to an ego. When in balance, however, the sacral can bloom with creativity and charm.

orange-1340073_1280

The Sacral chakra is represented by an orange colour lotus of six petals. The Sacral Chakra is your passion and pleasure centre and it is located in the pelvic area. Its seed syllable is VAM. While the Root Chakra is satisfied with survival, the 2nd chakra seeks pleasure and enjoyment. Its element is water, a capricious element, that takes many shapes, can be frozen or liquid, can flow swiftly and with great force or slowly and gentle or gather in one place and be still; it can erode surfaces or sustain life. The gift of this chakra is experiencing our life through feeling and sensations.

Having worked on our basic living situation , we are ready to work on our emotional lives, starting with our passions and desires. The energy of this chakra allows you to let go, to move, and to feel change and transformation occurring within your body. It allows you to experience this moment as it is, in its own fullness. The idea expressed by sacral chakra is to balance the energy of our passion.

The main challenge for the second chakra is the conditioning of our society. We live in a society where feelings are not valued, where passion, and emotional reactions are being frowned upon. We are being taught not to “loose control”. And we get disconnected from our bodies, our feelings.

There are many reasons that the sacral chakra might be blocked or imbalanced. we also experience the wounds of our collective cultural struggles over many sexual issues of our society. On one hand sexuality is magnified and glorified, and on the other hand it is rejected. This results in either blocked or excessive second chakra issues. The Trauma of sexual abuse is one reason. No wonder we have so many issues with our passion center, the wellspring of feelings, enjoyment, and sensuality.

The following is a list of asanas useful for working with a blocked sacral chakra or balance it:

  • Siddhasana
  • Ustrasana
  • Padahastasana
  • Bhujangasana
  • Paschimottasana

Crystal and Gemstones for Sacral Chakra.

  • Vanadinite
  • Carnelian
  • Orange Calcite

How to Meditate to open /balance Sacral Chakra

  • Sit in a comfortable position.
  • Concentrate on the Sacral Chakra and what it stands for, at the sacral bone (lower back).
  • Silently, yet clearly, chant the sound “VAM.”
  • All this time, let yourself relax, still thinking about the chakra, it’s meaning, and how it does or should affect your life.
  • Keep doing this until you are completely relaxed. Again, you may have a “clean” feeling.

The Root Chakra, (Muladhara) the 1st Chakra, is at the base of the spine and is red in color it is a four petaled flower. When in balance, the root chakra provides the feeling of being grounded It is linked to our connection and loyalty to our “tribe,” family, and fellow human beings, our connection with the manifestation of physical earth, survival instincts, pleasure / pain, and sexuality. It is related to the basic physiological and psychological functions of the human organism. This includes your basic needs such as food, water, shelter, and safety, as well as your more emotional needs such as letting go of fear. When these needs are met, you feel grounded and safe, and you tend to worry less day to day.  Whether or not you feel secure now often has less to do with what you have at your disposal and more to do with how safe you felt as a small child. You may not always be able to trust that the world will give you what you need to survive, but connection to your higher self and trust in a power higher than yourself will give you what you need to feel safe.

chakra-1340058_1280

This helps you to adapt to whatever life throws at you without the unstable feeling that comes when this chakra is blocked. As such, it has to do with security and survival related activities, such as making money and procuring food. Change no longer evokes anxiety or reluctance; transformation becomes exciting and fun. As infants, if your caregivers readily gave you what you needed to survive with consistency, you felt secure in the world. You felt that the world was a place that could be trusted to provide your basic needs. Yet, if your caregivers withheld or delayed in giving you what you needed, or if that giving was inconsistent, you may find yourself with first chakra blockages.

An imbalance in this chakra might include feelings of insecurity especially around financial matters, food and shelter, which relate directly to physical survival, when the Root chakra is balanced, you feel safe, secure and well established in the solid quality of earth. If there is an imbalance in the root chakra you may experience anxiety disorders, fears, or nightmares. Physical imbalances may manifest as problems in the colon, with the bladder, with elimination, or with lower back, leg, or feet issues. In men, prostate problems may occur. Eating disorders may also be a sign of a root chakra imbalance. Balancing the root chakra creates the solid foundation for opening the chakras above.

The mantra sound that corresponds to the root chakra is LAM. The seed syllable is lam (pronounced lum). Each chakra has an associated mantra or seed syllable. Which is the syllable of the earth element. Chanting or toning sounds can also help bring you back to balance just like music brings people together. Sounds create vibrations in the body, and these vibrations help the cells work together in synchronistic harmony. So each of the chakras has its own sound and by reciting or intoning its seed syllable, you can connect to its energy.

Other ways to open a blocked chakra include using yoga, mantras, colors, and gems. Various positions or asanas of hatha yoga themselves help purify the chakras and bring them into balance. The following is the list of asanas useful for working with chakras Yoga Asanas that help to open and align Muladhara are…

  • Siddhasana
  • Tadasana
  • Tiryakatadasana
  • Marjari asanas

(I will write about yoga asanas in my next blog)

Crystal and Gemstones for Root Chakras (Muladhara)

Finally, colors and gems can help bring a chakra into balance. The ideal is to have all chakra centers clear, balanced, and vitalized for optimal well-being.  The chakra system goes back to ancient eastern masters.  Each chakra is associated with a particular area of the body and a color of the spectrum.  Stones are for clearing, revitalizing, and healing chakras.  Crystal wands are utilized to open the chakras.  Generally, the selection of stones correspond with the associated color of the chakra. The root chakra’s color is red. Gemstones for the first chakra include GarnetHematite, red jasper, black tourmaline, Red Zincite Smoky Quartz and bloodstone. You can place the gemstone on the area of the chakra while lying down to help open and align it. There are 7 major Chakra centers of the physical body, where vital energy flows and intersects.  Through our Chakras, we transmit and receive physical, emotional, and spiritual energy.  The chakras are manifested in one’s physical state. Crystal wands are utilized to open the chakras.  Generally, the selection of stones correspond with the associated color of the chakra.

History of Meditation

Before you begin your meditation and confidence journey you will want to know where meditation comes from and how it has evolved into the process. 5000-3500 BCE The exact date of meditation”s origin is unknown but archaeologist and scholars agree that its been around for about 5,000 years.

symbol-898321_1280

You”ll find that the “Tantra” which is an Indian artifact talks about meditation which dates back about 5,000 years. 1,500 BCE. The earliest documented records of meditation stemming from the teachings of the vedas in ancient India. Some of the earliest written records of meditation (Dhyana), come from the Hindu traditions of Vedantism around 1500 BCE. 400-100 BCE. The Yoga sutra of Patanjali were compiled, outlining the eight limbs of Yoga.

However it is speculated that even primitive gatherers and hunters had practiced some of the same meditation techniques to enhance consciousness while gazing into their fires. Meditation was first thought to be practiced by hunter gatherers, as evidenced by archaeological findings from the era. First discovering the benefits of meditation, these so called primitive people passed their knowledge down from generation to generation, setting the groundwork for the history of meditation. The Vedas discuss the meditative traditions of ancient India. Around the 6th to 5th centuries BCE, other forms of meditation developed in Taoist China and Buddhist India. Between 600-500BCE Meditation developed in Taoist China and Buddhist India.

400BCE and 200CE The Bhagvad Gita written an epic poem and scripture that discusses the philosophy of yoga meditation and how to live a spiritual life. But, the structured practice of meditation that is more familiar to the modern method of meditation is believed to go back 5,000 years, with it developing in India. The initial development by Hindus was to understand and get closer to the true nature of Brahman (“God”); the development by Siddhartha Guatama, “the Buddha”, began when he reached enlightenment by meditating under a Bodhi Tree around 500 BC.

Around the 1960”s and 1970”s the benefits of meditation came to light in western culture , such as its ability to relieve stress, promote spirituality and confidence. Self-confidence is one of those byproducts of meditation that few people talk about. Meditate & Develop Self-Confidence. Many people report that through meditation they have gained a higher sense of well being and self confidence.

What is Meditation ?

In its purest, most fundamental form meditation is the personal practice of quieting your mind. This involves a physical silence not only for you but also for your immediate surrounding.

How to Build Self-Confidence by meditating ?

Self-confidence can be elusive, and lack of it is detrimental to our happiness and success in life. Self-confidence can be the difference between feeling strong or weak; capable or incapable; successful or failed; happy or miserable. Lack of self-confidence keeps us from living our lives to their fullest. We are afraid to freely express our talents and abilities, and we hide at the back of the room, wanting to contribute but lacking the confidence. Meditation costs nothing. You can learn to Meditate and you can learn this quickly and effortlessly. And that”s exactly what this blog is all about. This blog explores the amazing mental and health benefits of meditation.mindset-743166_640

Their are different techniques of meditation. The most popular one are.

  • Zen Meditation
  • Metta Meditation
  • Third Eye yoga meditation ( The 6th chakra called Ajna chakra located in the middle of forehead and above the eyebrows. It is often called the “third eye”because of its relation to seeing-not physical sight but the sight of intuition)
  • Qigong Meditation
  • Guided imagery meditation
  • Body scan meditation (shavasana)
  • Affirmation Meditation
  • Sound meditation (OM)
  • Trataka Meditation. One of the Best technique of meditation to build confidence is Affirmation Meditation techniqueWhat is Affirmation Meditation Technique? We are all born with very high self-confidence, but often it is gradually eroded by emotional trauma of varying degrees. Men/Women can be cruel to each other; and our misinterpretations of events can lead to unpleasant experiences. To protect ourselves, we put up emotional walls of victimization.

    12795068_1672739539658043_9134394576390499323_o

  • Affirmation Meditation Technique can be used to imprint a certain message on your brain. For most people, meditation is an uncomplicated way to connect with their spiritual self, manage stress and create a more balanced and peaceful way of living. It will allow you to feel more confident about a situation or about yourself. If you are looking for ways to strengthen your confidence or improve your productivity there are many ways that meditation can help because on a fundamental level it helps you develop a better connection with the deeper, core part of yourself. It can help you to build confidence about an event, such as “I will pass this test”, “I am proud of myself. “ I will be okay at the interview” “ I feel clever and smart today” “I will deliver this speech well”. “I can do whatever I focus my mind on”. “I am confident, positive person”, True self-confidence has to be built on a foundation of self-awareness. This kind of self-awareness lets you understand your strengths and your weaknesses on a deep and intimate level. Choose the right affirmation for you at the time. It’s always best to keep your statement in short sentences and in simple language. Say things that you can effortlessly agree with so that your subconscious mind will be more likely to accept your words without protest.
  • Start by sitting in a comfortable position, in a place where you will not be disturbed for the duration of the meditation and then concentrate on your breathing. Relax with every exhale. Visualization is a perfect complement to meditation and can dramatically improve your results. Visualize your affirmation. Spend a few minutes each day seeing yourself as completely strong and confident in whatever you do. (your affirmation statement)
  • Every time you breath out repeat your affirmation and visualize your success and start in believing your affirmation. Next ask yourself what would it feel like to be super strong and purposeful every day? Generate the confident feeling by remembering a time when you felt that way.
  • Every time your mind starts to wander something else, bring it back by saying your affirmation while breathing. Start again if you need to. If you can”t remember feeling confident to that degree then think of a character in a book or the movies that embodies that quality. Then imagine yourself playing that role, feeling how confidence feels at the same time.
  • Redirect to breathing again, before opening your eyes. This is powerful because your mind really does not know the difference between tangible reality and your imagined reality. It loves to practice for success, so the more often you imagine yourself feeling and acting confidently, the easier you’ll find it to be confident in your day to day experiences. Repeat the affirmation again before standing upGently, and before you know it, your confidence reveals itself to you and you find yourself feeling more open and courageous, willing to take bigger steps, and taking the occasional risk is something you do in your stride while happily overriding any previous perceived or predicted failure. One can be engaged in meditation while they are on a walk, for example, or the time they have right before they sleep. Throughout the day, by repeating the affirmation statement of their choice. Repeated use of your affirmations is always a good thing, so you can repeat your affirmations at almost any time.11921869_1603210636610934_196510682544832705_o Why Meditate ?There are many reasons why you would need to meditate. Many would love to mediate. Few actually do. Many of us have heard of the numerous benefits of the practice. Meditation can help you to experience self enlightenment, calm your emotions and provide yourself with more energy. As life becomes even busier, you will find that meditation is even more important to incorporate into your daily routine. Inner peace is a hard thing to experience or come by,and you”ll find that if you practice meditation, you will gain inner peace in the process.

Meditation takes no athletic ability. You can meditate whether you are in top physical form or use a wheel chair to get you places. You don”t have to practice meditation at a particular time for it to be useful, but it is important that you practice meditation on a regular basis.

So what”s keeping you from reaping the benefits of a life style of meditation ? Oh, “you may have formed a list of excuses” as to why you could not possibly meditate

    • There”s not enough time in a day.
    • I would not even know where to begin and how to end.
    • I can not sit for ten minutes.
    • But even if I managed to sit for ten minutes I can not make my mind idle.
    • Meditation is a boring task I feel like sleeping
    • It scares me
    • When I sit to meditate my focus is on the clock only
    • I want to meditate but, I always get interrupted .Research in meditation :Research in meditation certainly continued to grow and is continuing to be tested and used all over the world to increase well being, relaxation, and overall sense of mental health and stability. Relaxation techniques included hypnosis, biofeedback-induced relaxation, and meditation and were used with systematic desensitization and (now) with other clinical problems. Numerous studies have indicated the many physiological benefits of meditation, and the latest one comes from Harvard University.

An eight week study conducted by Harvard researchers at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) determined that meditation literally rebuilds the brains grey matter in just eight weeks. It’s the very first study to document that meditation produces changes over time in the brain’s grey matter.

      12888521_1672750179656979_2302001492811353318_o

Although the practice of meditation is associated with a sense of peacefulness and physical relaxation, practitioners have long claimed that meditation also provides cognitive and psychological benefits that persist throughout the day. This study demonstrates that changes in brain structure may underlie some of these reported improvements and that people are not just feeling better because they are spending time relaxing.” –

The analysis of MR images, which focused on areas where meditation-associated differences were seen in earlier studies, found increased grey-matter density in the hippocampus, known to be important for learning and memory, and in structures associated with self-awareness, compassion and introspection.”

      12672074_1672752242990106_8516694126233432389_o

You will have to understand one of the most fundamental things about meditation: that no technique leads to meditation. The old so-called techniques and the new scientific biofeedback techniques are the same as far as meditation is concerned. Meditation is not a byproduct of any technique. Meditation happens beyond mind. No technique can go beyond mind.” – Osho

Meditation May Lead to Volume Changes in Key Areas of the Brain

In 2011, Sara Lazar and her team at Harvard found that mindfulness meditation can actually change the structure of the brain: Eight weeks of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) was found to increase cortical thickness in the hippocampus, which governs learning and memory, and in certain areas of the brain that play roles in emotion regulation and self-referential processing.

Just a Few Days of Training Improves Concentration and Attention

      12885881_1672749416323722_7905015691522221061_o

    • Having problems concentrating isn’t just a kid thing – it affects millions of grown-ups as well, with an ADD diagnosis or not. Interestingly but not surprisingly, one of the central benefits of meditation is that it improves attention and concentration: One recent study found that just a couple of weeks of meditation training helped people’s focus and memory during the verbal reasoning section of the GRE.

Meditation Reduces Anxiety — and Social Anxiety

A lot of people start meditating for its benefits in stress reduction, and there’s lots of good evidence to support this rationale. There’s a whole newer sub-genre of meditation, mentioned earlier, called Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn at the University of Massachusetts’ Center for Mindfulness (now available all over the country), that aims to reduce a person’s stress level, physically and mentally.

      Meditation Can Help with Addiction

A growing number of studies  has shown that, given its effects on the self-control regions of the brain, meditation can be very effective in helping people recover from various types of addiction. One study, for example, pitted mindfulness training against the American Lung Association’s freedom from smoking (FFS) program, and found that people who learned mindfulness were many times more likely to have quit smoking by the end of the training.

There is no stress whatsoever in the realm of the universal consciousness! Stress is a manufactured response, and meditation helps you unlearn that response. Dr Herbert Benson of the Mind-Body Institute at Harvard Medical School has been studying “relaxation response”, that state of profound relaxation elicited by meditation. Dr Benson discovered that meditation counteracts the effects of the sympathetic nervous system – the fight or flight response.

During meditation, blood flow is directed to the parasympathetic nervous system triggering rest and relaxation and promoting feelings of happiness, well-being and calm.

What if reading this changes everything ?

Don”t waste any more time, failure may be fact of life, but no one has to suffer from it any longer. You know deep down inside that there”s more to life than what you experience every single day. Perhaps right now there is something that does not quite click/match. There may be a feeling that the current circumstances of our lives look like we are trapped,
and we can’t do anything about it. Do you feel stuck ? Do you feel like your life will never change ? Do you ask yourself the same questions over and over again, without getting answers ? Do you feel static, trapped, confused, stressed and frustrated ? If you want to make a change in your life, it’s never too late. Life can be mean, hard and sad sometimes.
Even then, it’s important to remember that this happens for a reason.

Some people seem to think that self development and power of positive thinking is just a bunch of mumbo-jumbo. Self improvement is indeed a process of growth, but it is also a process of healing. Failures are not foredoomed. You feel like you can put an end to the unhappiness, sadness, depression, frustration, anxiety… and you want to move forward. Without openness, there is no room for growth. How can we expect to plant a new seed in the garden that is our mind if we’ve made no room for it ?i.e (delete negativity first to make space for positive thoughts) You’re not alone. I’ve been there. I’ve experienced feeling stuck, struggling to understand myself and what I wanted from life. Often, the root cause of feeling stuck is a lack of confidence. So how can you become more confident ? How can you stop feeling overwhelmed and start finding purpose and achieve goals.

Success does not just happen! It is governed by positive thinking. If you know them, and apply them, the happy result, in the end, is assured. Lot of people don”t think that we can influence our own brain and lead a better life. It is not easy but not impossible. We all want to grow and constantly seek to improve our self and be a better human being. But you always thought that what the people will think of me. The city is always neutral, honestly doesn’t care one way or the other whether the new ideas lives, dies, suffers, or thrives. And you were worried that trying something new might make you look dumb or that your business might not make any money. What the fuck is wrong with you ? Stop being a pussy
and go do something amazing. We already have all the tools we need to improve ourselves deep within. In a way, we are already complete! If we’re alive, we’re able. If we’re alive, we’re powerful.

I am passionate about self-improvement, realization, enlightenment, being awake .Their is always a scope to improve. Every individual was put on this Earth for a PURPOSE! Every person was put here to Succeed. Every human ought and have every right to enjoy the sweet taste of success— to find peace and happiness— to live an interesting, secure and abundant life! Their is always a scope for better performance in every aspects of life. There is never an end to the journey of self improvement

If you want to be awesome in this life, do awesome things. If you want to be a leader, do some leading. If you want to be an expert, do the things like an expert does. If you want that next level, take it. Take it for yourself. Create an event. Champion a cause. Build something great. Speak your mind. Make the call. Build the business. sing a song or dance or Author the book. Join yoga classes. Send the email. Learn new things, be proactive. Do it. Do it. Every accomplishment starts with the decision to try. If you fail, big deal. You might write something and nobody might read it. You might build it and nobody
might come.you might sing no one hears or dance for yourself. You could fail and ruin your life or learn something new. You could take a chance and end up looking really, really stupid. It doesn’t matter. As I gain more and more knowledge and start to think like wise human being, I realize that there is so much to know, so much that I have to learn yet. The human potential is limitless, so it’s impossible to reach a point of omnipotence (no growth). the possibilities for our growth are endless.

“I love the characters not knowing everything and the reader knowing more than them . There”s more mischief in that and more room for seriousness, too .”
“Anne Enright”

How many times have we told ourselves that “I’m going to be more organized and productive from now on wards.”?(specially on new year day 1st jan) Or that I am going to make a real effort to work hard Only to have that enthusiasm fade away, and all our best intentions come to nothing ? followed by frustration, depression, victimization, inaction or giving in to temptations, followed by guilt of giving up or surrender to temptations. I just can’t seem to keep a promise I make to myself. Blaming the circumstances.

There are so many things in our life that we want to perform better, excel and improve, but for some reason we keep falling short of our own expectations and fail to succeed, excel or stick to our plans. Why is that ? Why is that happening ? Why do you feel like we are the victim of circumstances and our negative thought telling us that “ You don’t have what it takes to be successful”.

There is a lot about you that is wonderful and good, and there are a lot of thoughts that you have that are reasonable and healthy. You should focus on these instead of focusing on the negative self talk that makes you feel bad or bully yourself too much. In every cloud, you have to seek the silver lining and do your best to figure out if there is anything that you can take away of value from the situation that you’re in. It literally sucks the motivation soul out of you and you feel frustrated, depressed, lonely and ask to god “Why me ‘? If we constantly repeat negative statements to ourselves, we’ll eventually believe them, even if they aren’t true! Good habits can be harder to adopt when there are many bad habits.

Most of us know that there are health benefits to thinking positively, When we switch our minds to a state of positive thinking, we begin to realize that there are far more blessings in our lives than there are curses. Positive people have a tendency to stay dedicated to their goals and believe that their success is inevitable. Over the course of time, scientists have discovered that positive thinking can increase our lifespan. That is something that most people thrive to achieve, and something that can be accomplished with a lot more ease than most of us might believe. If you’re going to let your mind wander, why not
imagine a positive outcome ? Believe the best will come to you. You deserve the best. Believe it will happen. Optimism can help us to avoid pessimism and overall improve our level of  confidence/satisfaction in life.

Positive thinking helps us to move forward and examine what is right about our lives and appreciate that, rather than being miserable about what might be wrong. We stopped losing sight of what we should be grateful for and instead focus on the things that we want and don’t have. With the help of positive thinking, we will empower ourselves to begin to work on the things that we find negative about our lives and come to a constructive and satisfying conclusion about them.

img-20160320-wa0007

Another good and easy way to help deal with the negative emotions is by learning some relaxation techniques like meditation. Many people have found benefits from yoga, and these types of exercises have been able to seriously reduce the risk of high cholesterol in middle-aged people. (I will write about yoga in detail in my next blog.) Most people forget that there is a link between our mental state of mind and our physical state of mind. How the body feels is how the mind will feel, and vice-versa.”Train your mind to see things differently and align yourself with the truth.”

“Everything you need is already inside you, you were wired to survive and succeed

The problem is that we tend to try to better/improve/excel ourselves all at once we all want to succeed fast or become rich overnight this is the age of instant coffee instant  everything ?, always remember “Rome was not built in a day, but they were laying bricks every hour.” concentrate on one important thing at a time, Set a small, realistic and achievable goal. The idea is that you can take small steps and reap great rewards. It sounds safe, not risky. Don’t go into a giant dream without thinking about how you can break that dream down into smaller goals that are reasonable that you can accomplish in a reasonable amount of time. So if you’re struggling to do the big task at once, do something about it, take action. Chunk it into a little part. Bite by bite. One thing at a time. Reward yourself on achieving small goals. Recognize your progress.

You must be willing to keep walking, even if you don’t reap rewards immediately. Focus yourself on one little task at a time. Feel the little accomplishment you’ve made. Be proud of yourself. If we focus most of our energy on daunting tasks that we don’t value enough, we’ll end up very exhausted and unable to achieve as much as we want to . Therefore create a list of priorities then focus. It is easy to set goals in our minds, but what is difficult is achieving them.

If you’re walking down the right path and you’re willing to keep walking, eventually you’ll make progress.” Barack Obama

Many people think that success needs to happen overnight, and when it doesn’t, they stop believing in themselves. Get moving, a bit at a time Once you get going, momentum builds up and the task becomes achievable. So the key is to get started, and you do that not by trying to go at once but by trying to go from small achievable goals in a day or two. That’s possible. It’s all about baby steps. A journey of thousand miles begins with a single step so…. Once you get going, you’re ready. Be patient great things take time and empires are not built in a day. Have a goal-setting approach— Dream, Plan, Reach. Recognize the power of dreams. Organize tasks on the basis of priority. Make smart goals.

“Take the first step in faith, you don”t have to see the whole staircase just take the
first step”. Dr. Martin Luther King. Jr.

You are motivated. Nothing can stop you. You have decided that you will win this time no matter what ? And when you are just about to start improving yourself or building something big, that voice in your head appears…It is that manipulative negative voice that tries to doubt and downgrade and pull every plan or task you want to accomplish. “You don’t have what it takes to win” because everyone will deal with negative emotions at some point of their life, you may be prone to a meltdown more powerful and intense than you might anticipate. We are trained by society to doubt our own capabilities. Most of us have a very critical inner voice telling us that we are not good enough and that we are never going to accomplish the things that we think we would like to. All of us are much more prone to self-doubt then we are to confidence, whether this is because of society, our upbringing, or our own inner monologue. Is it really possible to pull yourself out of this low-confidence cycle? Yes! It’s absolutely possible.

It literally sucks the motivation soul out of you. Something we really have to understand is that it is okay if we never succeed the first time. It is even okay if we don’t succeed the second or third time. What makes a failure is if we stop and we give up trying to learn something that is difficult for us. All that motivation built up inside is obliterated by that little negative voice and if you don’t defeat it, it will trap you as a slave for the rest of your life. Negativity is a slow killer, while positive thinking can help us to improve our longevity and stay happier and healthier for a long time. So, how do you defeat/win
that manipulative voice in your head that undermines your capabilities ? So how to have a positive attitude in life . How to erase the negative thinking the hurdle that we humans have developed for centuries. How to think out of the box. How to train our brain to think positive always. Never assume that you’re stuck forever and it’s impossible to get what you want. Life changes, and so can you. It’s all about finding peace within yourself and changing your perception of differences and change in the world around you. If you feel tension or disagreement, it is most likely caused by your ego.

You have to remember that failure is very subjective and if you do not believe that you are a failure then you never will be. The power of positive thinking is unbelievable, and when you believe in yourself there is nothing that can stop you from achieving the goals you have set for yourself in your mind. The majority of us live with a deep unconscious belief that the environment controls us. “He who says he can, and he who says he cannot, are both usually right.” When we feel powerless, it is because we place our power of decision on something external. We don’t recognize it as our own. It’s almost as if we don’t want to be responsible for it! Don’t use the word fail. Use the word learn. That will help you
to change your perspective from being a negative thinker into a positive one, and ultimately that can help you to change your life for the better. Trust in your qualities and judgments. To be self-confident is to feel secure from within, to believe in yourself and your abilities.

img-20160314-wa0012

No ‘failure’ is ever complete failure! That is, failure does not equal defeat unless we allow it to be so . Failure and defeat are two vastly different things. Failure is not doing something right in the moment. Defeat is completely ceasing our efforts because of it. What determines which of them actually happens is not the circumstance, but how we choose to perceive it! Failing should not be a discouragement away from our goals or our journey of inner growth. Failure of any magnitude should be treated as what it really is: a learning experience – a stepping stone to furthering ourselves. The moment we stop seeing it this way is the moment we accept defeat. If a thought comes up that says “You really failed,” convert it to “Now I know for sure what I did wrong, I have learned something great!” “Nothing happens by accident, but I’m happy this is happening, because it’s a lesson I came here to learn.

“Everyone has the capability to become successful its about rising above those who
tell you that you can”t even if that person is yourself” (Danny Postawa)

How about self hypnotizing and change all our negative thought to positive. I am going to write about self hypnotizing in my next blog, but for now, Your thoughts are very powerful. As the Bible says in Proverbs 23: 7, “As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.” Meaning, whatever you think about, you will become. Positive thinking works because it can help us to rewire the neural pathways in our brains so that we are no longer addicted to negative emotions and thoughts. Most of us have already heard of positive thinking, and it seems pretty self-explanatory. However, it is a lot more complex than it might
seem. Our mind is like a garden, whatever we put into it, we will reap and we will harvest. If we put positive things into it, in due time we will reap positive rewards. If we put negative things into it, we will then reap negative consequences. As the Law of Attraction suggests, “Like attracts like.”

20160307_113505

Positive thinking entails a large amount of work before it can truly begin to change your life. But I think this work is fun work, and it can be easy work. we can prove to ourself that we can Succeed by Accomplishing the Tasks that we have set and how we are going to do it. Everyday when you wake up, write 3-5 goals or tasks that you must accomplish before going to bed that night. You don’t have to set major goals that is impossible to accomplish within a day. Be realistic. No matter what, by the end of the day, you would have to accomplish all these goals. If you don’t, you are teaching your brain that you can’t win at even minor tasks. As a result, don’t come up with daily goals that are difficult to accomplish, Unrealistic, not possible to do within a day. You have to make sure that you can in absolute certainty perform and accomplish the goals. Confidence is something you create within yourself by believing in who you are.

“Don”t wait until you have reached your goal to be proud of yourself be proud of
every step you take toward reaching that goal”

First Build Discipline. You will never always be motivated you have to learn to be disciplined. Discipline is the utmost important quality if you want freedom from that annoying little negative voice of yourself. Work hard, wake up early perform tasks on time don”t postpone. Suffer the pain of discipline or suffer the pain of regret choice is yours. Discipline means that you do what it takes to succeed at the goal you set yourself, whether or not you like the path to that goal. Discipline is doing what you know needs to be done, even when you don”t want to do it. Read/Watch About Other People Succeeding At their Goal, but it does work When you see other people succeed at their goal, you will
have the benefit that you get motivated and most Importantly…you can replicate their success. No habit can be formed without consistency! At the same time, no new ‘mindset’ can be adopted without consistent practice. Consistency in our actions is what keeps the habit as is. Whatever we do repeatedly over time affects who we become!

“Discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishment”. “Jim Rohn”

Succeed :Yes, it is not as easy as is said. Success is not one time thing it is a habit and a way of life Succeeding requires a lot of effort by you. A successful man/women is one who can lay a firm foundation with the bricks others have thrown at him. The first law of success, I repeat, is to fix the right goal. The right goal will arouse ambition. Ambition is more than mere desire. then comes the preparation to achieve that goal. From identifying your goal then you have to know your strengths, weakness, opportunities, threats and to coming up with the perfect plan for capturing that goal, it requires will-power to succeed at major tasks. Success is 99% attitude and 1% aptitude. Success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm. It is nothing more than a few simple disciplines, practiced everyday. Every failure is a stepping stone to success.

“Success is not final, failure is not fatal it is the courage to continue that counts .”
Winston Churchill”.

Be accountable. Laziness, the second culprit, We all get lazy from time to time and there’s nothing wrong with that. You must move, no matter what. You don’t have to find the cure to AIDS today. Just find something simple that needs to be done and do it. The best antidote for laziness is putting one foot in front of the other. Don’t listen to the little voices in your head that whisper, I’ll start tomorrow.Ignore the equally damaging voices that whisper, “I should have done this three months ago.” Just go.Don’t think. Do. But to beat laziness, we must apply a bit of pressure, in the form of accountability

20160307_113740

Wherever you find a problem, you will usually find the finger-pointing of blame and victimization. Society is addicted to playing the victim. If only I hadn’t been born so poor…If only my wife/husband was more understanding…One of the reasons that people feel like they fail in life is because of a focus on the external. You are not a product of your circumstances you are a product of your decisions. Maybe the statement “If I had X, I’d be happy,” or “When I am at Z point in my life, I will feel fulfilled” Blaming everyone and everything else for our problems and challenges may be the norm and may provide temporary relief from the pain, be humble enough to accept and take responsibility for his/her circumstances and courageous enough to take whatever initiative is necessary to creatively work his or her way through or around these challenges, and I’ll show you the supreme power of choice. Think that “I am the creative force of my life.” “We are the masters of our own destinies”

You must take personal responsibility. You cannot change the circumstances, the
seasons, or the wind, but you can change yourself.” Jim Rohn

Accept responsibility for your actions. Be accountable for your results. Take ownership of your mistakes. Being accountable to yourself and others around you is a tactic that many miss when trying to improve themselves. It is not only what we do, but also what we do not do, for which we are accountable. Personal responsibility: two words that will give you the key to success. You are responsible for everything you do in life.

Let your friends and family, your social networks, and sometimes even your work buddies know about the change you are making. You either make yourself accountable or you will be made accountable by your circumstances. This will help you become more serious about your daily change, and could even prove to be a benefit for others around you as they may decide to join you in the topic that you have chosen. It’s not a bad thing to have a workout buddy! If you truly want to change, you must start by looking in the mirror. It takes courage to take personal responsibility. It would be much easier to blame someone or something else for your problems or shortcomings.

“More people would learn from their mistakes if they weren”t so busy denying
them”.

Motivate yourself by reading books. Books are concentrated sources of wisdom. Just like any parts of the human body, our brain need some exercise and vitamins that we need. Have you ever experience not eating anything for a day ? You will feel weak. Same with our brain. Reading stimulates brain. The more books you read, the more wisdom you expose yourself to some books you can start reading to enrich yourself ? books makes things happen from “I can”t do it” to yes “I can” or stop from wishing, to start doing .Some books I’ve read and found useful . If reading is a habit you’d like to get into, there
are a number of ways to cultivate it.

First, realize that reading is highly enjoyable, if you have a good book. Start asking question to yourself that “what did you do today to bring you one step closer to your goal “ There is more treasure in books than in all the pirate”s loot on treasure island. Make your reading time your favorite time of the day If you have a boring book and you are forcing yourself through it, it will seem like a chore. If this happens for many days in a row, consider abandoning the book and finding one that you’ll really love. Other than that, try these to cultivate a lifetime reading habit: Reading is to the mind what exercise is
to the body.

“Never give up, go over, go under, go around, or go through but never give up”.

Be active always. Lead active life styles. The first step in discovering your capabilities is to try new things. You have no idea what you are capable of until you try. Learn new things for example learn new language. A misconception that many people have is that confidence is something that is inborn: either you have it or you will never be able to enjoy that feeling in your entire life. In reality, confidence is a skill that can be learned, just like a new language. It simply points out that you don’t have to be brilliant in everything in order to learn new language or be successful in life. Research has proved
that kids who are exposed to many languages at young age grows up to become a smart person because some parts of the brain get activated. Studies have shown that there is a strong correlation between people’s abilities with words and range of vocabulary and with success in their chosen fields. People who can express themselves clearly are perceived as more intelligent and of higher status.

Birds build nests— by instinct. No one teaches them how. The newborn calf does not have to be taught how to walk. Humans have to learn, or be taught. Humans have to learn to walk, to talk, to eat or drink. We learn about electricity, laws of physics and chemistry. Then we can go further, and learn to appreciate literature, music, art. We learn to fly higher, farther and faster than any bird. But we have to learn— to study — to be educated— to be prepared for what we propose to do. One of the first things we need to learn is— that we need to learn! Most people fail to set any definite goals. Having no specific aims, they neglect the specialized education to make possible the attainment of their purpose. Humans know nothing at birth! We have to learn! We have to educate ourselves to succeed. The entire system of education in this world neglects to recapture the true values. The basic and most essential knowledge— the true values, the meaning and purpose of life, the way to peace, to happiness and abundant well-being— these basics are never taught.

“Keep going . Every thing you need will come to you at a perfect time” .

Hang some inspirational quotes in your rooms. Your environment sets the mood and tone for you. If you are living in an inspirational environment, you are going to be inspired every day. Read those inspirational quotes everyday, morning afternoon evening before going to bed. Implement those quotes in life and reinforce them regularly in your mind. In the past, I used to read those inspirational quotes and forget it but since I read it many time in a day now a days those quotes motivates me always.

Yes,“You can get through this”.

Overcome your fears. We all have fears. Everything you”ve ever wanted is on the other side of fear. Fear of uncertainty, fear of losing our dear ones, failure, rejection, public speaking etc. Transform fear into action. With awareness comes knowledge of our pain and our deeply ingrained fears. Fears are stories we tell ourselves. Don”t let fear control your life learn how to overcome your fears. Fear is the brains way of saying that there is something important for you to overcome. So many people today are gripped with a sense of fear. They fear for the future. They feel vulnerable in the workplace. They are afraid of losing their jobs and their ability to provide for their families. Everything you”re running
away from is in your mind. Recognize that fear and conquer it. I always think of fear as my weakness and there is still an issue to face as long as you don”t address that fear it becomes difficult to grow.

“Forget everything and run or face everything and rise its your choice”.

To better/improve/excel yourself on a consistent basis, you have to identify your strengths and weaknesses, opportunities and threats. Make a list of your strengths and weaknesses…. Capitalize your strengths and recognize your weakness. Now that you have a list of things that you are strong and weak at, go through the list and choose one simple thing you want to get better at.

“Build on your strengths work on your weakness”. Mint Tan

Write and review/self analysis :The only way to become better at something, day-in and day-out, is to stay on track. Create a vision board Keep a journal in which you begin to keep track of the thoughts that you are having so that you know which ones are unhealthy and circling, and what to do when you are dealing with them. Interrupt them as much as possible. When you begin to think about something negative, write down your negative thought and whatever might be associated with it. Wait for a while until you calm down and then go back and read about what you were thinking.

You may often find that your thoughts were exaggerated perceptions about what was truly happening in reality. Even if what you are thinking is true, how could you see it in a better light ? Is there a way to add humor to your perception so that it can diffuse the negativity and stop stewing in your mind and tainting your ability to think in a positive way ? Once we have begun to recognize the general patterns of negative thinking that we have constructed in our own minds, we are going to have to do our best to interrupt them before they begin changing our moods, developing confidence requires training. If we can succeed in this, we can succeed in changing our negative thought patterns into positive ones before we are taking down a road that we do not want to go down. How can we possibly control all our thoughts when we have about 40,000 of them a day? We can’t control all our thoughts, but we can choose which ones we pay attention to.

“If we all did the things we are capable of doing, we would literally astound ourselves.” Thomas Edison

Understand your strengths, weakness, opportunities, threats. And you can’t do that without some sort of daily or weekly review. Just set a time every day or week where you can write about and review your successes in making the change that you want to make. By doing this review, you will be able to tell where you need to improve as well as where you went wrong. Inward spiritual practices such as meditation, breathing techniques (pranayam) and self analysis generate insights and enhance abilities to understand yourself as well as the universe. We often attribute our happiness to places other than
internal. Meditation gives peace of mind. It is a fantastic opportunity to get to the root of all our worries. It will serve as a realization to propel us forward to infinite inner growth. All our answer lies within,True inner growth requires us to open up, to be aware. Meditation helps to calm you and be more conscious.

I also realized that during the nights when I meditate (before I sleep), I need lesser sleep. Meditation helps to understand yourself. The whole concept of presence can be difficult to adopt because of the conditioning that we all face. Through meditation and further exploration of consciousness, there is no doubt you will ‘achieve’ it – it is already within you! At first, meditation can seem difficult, due to the torrent of thoughts that flow through our minds nonstop. Through practice, however, we will begin to see thoughts dissipate. 528Hz Third eye activation meditation.528Hz DNA frequency (unlock your codons).432Hz DNA healing meditation.

If we were put here by a Creator, would He have put us here without a reason ? when we realize that everything happens for a reason. We have a purpose in life and our journey develops just as it’s supposed to be. Of course men cut off from God have no knowledge of that purpose. For that knowledge is not material, but spiritual knowledge. And spiritual things cannot be seen— nor heard, felt, smelled or tasted. Men cut off from their Creator of necessity are spiritually blind and ignorant, groping in the dark. But the Maker has sent an instruction book along with the human mechanism He made. we are, literally, clay images of God— composed of the dust of the ground.

Your main goal, now, will be spiritual and not material. No matter how intelligent, alert or resourceful you may be, you need gods wisdom and help. Wisdom comes from God. The way to inner fulfillment is the hardest journey a human being can undertake; it is also the most exciting and satisfying thing we can experience! Let’ stop looking outside! Everything we need is already within us. I will write about meditation in detail in my next blog.

“Meditate, because some questions can”t be answered by google”.

Have a vision, to have a vision be “awake,” meaning you have the ability to understand who you are,
what you want to be, and how you want to fit in the world. Keep an eye on the bigger picture: A new day always comes. A new door always opens. It is important to recognize that the future is full of promise. Meeting our goals requires constantly imagining and crafting our journey despite the present situation. It is okay not to have all answers right away. They will come. We can’t control everything, however, we can control ourselves: how we choose to respond, our own attitudes, how we let go, and our outlook—moving forward by keeping our eyes on the bigger picture. From Aristotle to Buddha to
Steve Jobs, many revered thinkers and talents have said that the path to an authentic journey is to know thyself, guided by an inner voice. requires disciplining our inner energy and drive. Often that energy solely comes from within.

“The soul usually knows what to do to heal itself. The challenge is to silence the
mind”.Carolone Myss

Intend your destiny: destiny nurtures us with hope in our darkest moments, enables us to dream of better days, and resides in a place where we are destined to find our fulfillment. “Destiny is not a matter of chance, it is a matter of choice; it is not a thing to be waited for, it is a thing to be achieved.” We need to intend to “go somewhere” and make a difference. Everybody is able to move forward in their lives if they can continue to see the possibilities around them and seize opportunities that will move them forward. Unfortunately these opportunities become impossible to find if you are stuck in a negative mindset. We can”t direct the wind but we can adjust the sails. Your soul knows the geography of your destiny. Your soul alone has the map of your future therefore you can trust this indirect, oblique
if you do, it will take you where you need to go, but more important it will teach you a kindness of rhythm in your journey.

Be in the moment: Basically, all that matters is the present, the here and now. whatever task you are performing focus your total attention to that task at those particular moment nothing else should matter. NOW. If we want to know the future, it creates tension, because the only way we can imagine it is by using our past experiences. Looking in the past or to the future causes worry and stress. Now is where we need to be and what we need to focus on. You cannot influence the moments of planets. You cannot live forever. You cannot affect the entropy of the universe. All you can do is to make this moment —
your moment — better. Mindfulness is one important technique that many positive thinkers utilized today.

Mindfulness allows us to stay in the present moment and avoid associations to the past that made the present moment feel more overwhelming than it needs to be. Trust that we are in the right place, right here, right now. Just be in the moment. You can affect the lives of others around you, and you can affect your own life. You can ease some suffering. You matter to those around you. Being in the moment allows us to escape from adversity and conserve our inner energy. Don”t just look, observe. Don”t just swallow, taste. Don”t just sleep, dream. Don”t just think feel. Don”t just exist, live. Everything is just fine right now and we all have a purpose in life to focus on. Live in the present moment and be mindful.

There is only now. If you have power, it’s now. If you can change anything, you have to do it now. If you want to be or to have that next great thing, be it. Have it. Take it. Own it. Do it. Become it. The secret of health for both mind and body is not to mourn for the past, worry about the future or anticipate trouble….but to live in the present moment wisely and earnestly. Do it now. The clock is ticking. Actively participate in your day as if it was your last day on earth.

“Gather ye rosebuds while ye may, Old Time is still a-flying; And this same flower
that smiles to-day Tomorrow will be dying . . . ” Robert Herrick

Wake up early. Waking up early has been acknowledged by many to improve your productivity and your quality of life. Wake up to achieve. I feel it’s because when you wake up early, your mindset is already set to continue the momentum and proactively live out the day. Wake up early and tackle the day before the day tackles you. Their is no better way to start the process of getting better at something than to wake up earlier. When you arise in the morning think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive – to breathe, to think, to enjoy, to love. Getting up early has a ton of benefits. Work hard stay positive and get up early. Its the best part of the day. It’s quiet, dark, and peaceful. You can be by yourself and you can truly concentrate on the change you want to make one day at a time. Dream big
but wake up early to actualize them.

Keep an eye on the bigger picture: A new day always comes. A new door always opens. To be a champion, I think you have to see the big picture. Its not about winning and losing ; its about everyday hard work and about thriving on a challenge. It is important to recognize that the future is full of promise. Channelize your energy, drive, creativity, and discipline into something larger and more enduring than yourselves. Be it building a great company, changing the world, or achieving some great object that’s ultimately is not about themselves. Be awake and alert not careless and ignorant.

Meeting our goals requires constantly imagining and crafting our journey despite the present situation. It is okay not to have all answers right away. They will come. We can’t control everything, however, we can control ourselves: how we choose to respond, our own attitudes, how we let go, and our outlook— moving forward by keeping our eyes on the bigger picture. Keep believing in yourself. If pressure gives you the push toward your goal, motivation gives you the pull. It’s not enough to feel pressure to do something — you have to really desire it.

“The greater danger for most of us is not that our aim is too high and we miss it,
but that it is too low and we reach it.” Michelangelo

Laughter : It’s no mistake that many people believe that laughter is the best medicine. Laughter boosts mental health by stimulating both hemispheres of the brain, encouraging clarity and better problem solving ability. Humor releases tension and loosens people up so that they are willing to work together toward a common goal. It takes the heat off for a moment so that parties can cool down and get back to being productive.

Laughter is extremely powerful, and it has the ability to help us to find relief in almost any given situation. In the blink of an eye, something can cause us to laugh and release endorphins in our bodies. This release of endorphins can help us to feel empowered and stronger, at the same time allowing us to relax and take away the tension and the pain of stress. A day without laughter is a day wasted. You cannot choose your circumstances. Life throws curve balls at everyone on this planet. You can choose your reaction to life. You have the power to select your mood just like you pick out your clothes.

If you wake up feeling melancholy, you can take action to replace those thoughts with happier ones. Cultivating a sense of humor is one of the best weapons in your arsenal of success. Humor is healing and unifying, and it can also lead to great accomplishments. Why is humor such an effective weapon? It might be because laughter is something to which everyone relates. It allows people to see their commonalities rather than their differences.

“A sense of humor is part of the art of leadership, of getting along with people, of
getting things done.” Dwight D. Eisenhower

Be Honest: Many of us have a problem with being honest with ourselves about our flaws. Be honest: even if others are not even if others will not even if others cannot. We want to believe that we are perfect. However, you have to believe that you are not perfect in order to follow a path of positive thinking that will change your life. A real man will be honest no matter how painful the truth is. A coward hides behind lies and deceit. You have to acknowledge that there are negative things about life but you have to also keep in mind that these negative things can be changed. If you ignore them and you don’t work on them, they tend to stay there and get infected, causing you to have more negativity in your life than you need.

Pray The world has changed dramatically. We live in a round the clock, multi-tasking, hyper connected society. There are more addictions than ever, more obesity than ever, we exercise less, we eat bad food and we drink too much, we procrastinate too much and we sit on our computers playing games for hours on end. Life is more complex, more stressful, more demanding. We have transitioned from the Industrial Age into the Information / Knowledge Worker Age— with all of its profound consequences. We face challenges and problems in our personal lives, our families, and our organizations never imagined even one and two decades ago. These challenges are not only of a new order of magnitude, they are altogether different in kind.so pray. Yes, you might find it a cliché, but it’s true.

Once you pray, it seems that all your worries are being gone. You are naturally having a peaceful mind. Noble people do noble things.it doesn’t matter what you’ve done. What matters is what you do. Practice the pause, When in doubt, pause. When angry, pause. When tired pause, when stressed, pause. And when you pause, PRAY. And some of you may ask,” I don’t know how to pray.” Yes, you can. Praying is just like talking to a friend, but this time, you’re talking to God. The Bible says, “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks
receives; he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.” You might have not, because you might ask not. So ask God, He is always there for you. He is always listening to you. You will notice then that your mind is now starting to become more positive.

Remember, to learn and not to do is really not to learn. To know and not to do is really
not to know
